Navrun comes to an end.
9 km on all 9 days of Navratri done and dusted!
It is time for some celebration.
Every year after my Navrun, I have a feast. I treat myself at my favourite restaurant for completing this feat.
One of my friends once asked me, what’s there to celebrate about this? People run more than you, many more days than 9 in continuation – what is so special you have done that you want to celebrate?
Surely I want to achieve more than this. But it won’t happen overnight. And I will not wait till that more is achieved to celebrate because after that more there will be some more!
And when I have achieve the big that I really want to, there will be a grand celebration.
But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be celebrating my small wins till then.
When you take action and celebrate small victories, you decide to reward yourself for each stepping stone that you make in your way to reach your ultimate goals.
And that makes the mountain of your goals that you are climbing a lot more exciting!
So celebrate small wins and here are some solid reasons to do so –
- You get clarity. By celebrating small wins, your big goals become clear. A small victory gets you one step closer to your larger goal. And the closer you go, the clearer it gets.
- You get motivated. Being self motivated is the most important factor in achieving your big goal. Small celebrations give you the confidence and the motivation to keep going despite all odds.
- You have earned it. You have taken the efforts to complete a task. It might me small as compared to your big goal, but it is important. Your efforts definitely need to be rewarded.
Lastly, we need to remember, a person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.
So celebrate and do more than expected.
What say?
